You know the feeling when it gets to the end of a semester and you're ready for it to come to an end? Well, I've got that feeling bad! I can't wait for summer to kick into gear. This year has been great, don't get me wrong, but, all the school work is starting to wear me down. I just finished my research paper and ten minute speech so I feel this huge relief! All these projects and papers keep swimming around in my brain and it's getting pretty full.
I can not wait until summer when my schedule will be somewhat hectic. I'm a big list person, so I'll just list the things I'm excited about. 1. Saving for my laptop 2. Just working and no school with it. 3.Russia!!!!!!!!! 4. Reading Atonement, The Painted Veil, and Kite Runner 5. Seeing all my friends in Russia. 5. Elly's wedding.
6. The Beach 1 1/2 weeks of doing absolutely nothing but soaking up the sun. I got the cutest beach hat that I'm so excited for! It's one of those bendy ones that hangs over your face. I can just picture myself reading on the beach with my fun hat. My goal for the beach is to read "The Doomsday Book". I always say how I will read that and then never do. I can't wait to get a tan and read to my hearts content. I can't wait to come in for lunch and drip while all of us watch Disney channel. I can't wait to make fun of a dippy Mary Kate and Ashley movie with Sarah. I can't wait to go stargazing on the beach in the middle of the night. I can't wait to go to the inlet with our family and aunt amy's. I can't wait to go shopping with Aunt Cheryl and Aunt Marilyn. I can't wait to be at the beach for my birthday. I can't wait to go out to eat with Uncle Shaun and Aunt Amy and the girls. I can't wait to go to a movie with my siblings. I can't wait to babysit the cousins. I can't wait until donuts by the pool. I can't wait until a late night pool swim and being freezing and curling up in a towel. I can't wait until Sea Blue. I can't wait to make a drippy and a sand castle. I can't wait to ride waves. I can't wait to drift in the water. I can't wait to run on the beach in the morning. I can't wait to go out for pancakes. I can't wait to cool off in the pool when I am so hot. I can't wait (hoping for) one rainy day at the beach when there is barely anyone out and the waves are great and it's fun to just sit in the warm summer showers. I can't wait for our whole family to just be together. I can't wait to fall asleep on the beach. I can't wait to be sun burned and it hurt when I move in the bed at night. I can't wait to wake up to the sound of waves lapping at the shore. I can't wait to see our condo and unload groceries. I can't wait until Mom is being a slavedriver and having us carry things into the condo. I can't wait to stay out on the beach late in the evenings. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!! I love everything about the beach. I love the pain, pleasure, memories, boredom, entertainment. I love it unconditionally, it's my favorite two weeks in the summer.

Busy Busy Busy!
Argh! I've been so busy it's making me so tired. I woke up way late today. I know that once school is over things won't be so crazy, but as of now, they are.
School
Done with my research paper! Now I just have to write my poetry paper :)
English class is fun right now though. We read excerpts from Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein" and then we watched the 1931 movie version. Now we are watching the 1994 version. I don't know what about scary movies make me depressed, but I always come out feeling depressed.
In Math class we had our last new lesson yesterday! Now it's just review for the test and then review for the final, I don't feel stressed about it.
I have my ten minute speech next week in speech class, I have a major work day for the speech tomorrow. I'll just be glad to have it over with!
I made one stupid print four times last night in photography. I just couldn't get it right.
This may sound weird but I dug through the trash in the dark room and found all these cool messed up prints. I don't know, I think they look artistic.
Geneva apparently will give me 3,000 off a semester so I'm really looking forward to that. I will probably minor in Christian ministries with an emphasis on missions. My other option would be ESL. I'm gonna talk to a few different missionaries and see what they think. I will register in June, hopefully Daddy can go up with me. They have a "Summer Preview".
I still don't feel that great about leaving but I know I should at least try college. Everybody is saying that once I get there I will love it.
Car Troubles
So, when I was getting off the exit ramp for business 3 on the way to class the power steering went kaput! I had even called Daddy earlier in the day and said the car was "moaning". Fortunately I was able to safely get off the ramp and pull into a parking lot. I was on the phone with Mom at the time she told Daddy and he drove a half hour. A tow truck took him away and I took his car to make it the rest of the way to class. When he looked at where the power steering fluid goes, it was all flooded. So, something is wrong with the pump. We shall see.
Missions Trip
So, I'm still a thousand dollars short. I'm getting a little ansy at this point. I know I need to trust God for the remaining funds but I'm just worried Mommy and Daddy will end up contributing a lot. I'm then worried I'll get a big lecture on how maybe it was better that this summer I stayed home and made money for college. Hopefull the funds will come in. I need to trust God about this! I'm really excited about the actual trip though. Yuliya keeps telling me about people I knew last year that will be back again. It will be such a blessed time seeing all of my friends from last summer. I have missed them terribly.
Church Life
Elly's shower was this past weekend! It went really well and Elly was able to get a lot of nice things for her future home. I met her for breakfast yesterday at Double D. It was so great talking and catching up. We had not for a while. We talked about all the wedding plans and I am so excited for her wedding! It's gonna be so fun seeing her and mark start their lives together and dressing up won't be bad either :). Tomorrow we're gonna go to Springton Manor and get some ideas for wedding pictures.
On Sunday night Lou Ellen spoke about Australia. It was really great to hear about her trip. She had an amazing time.
After that we went out to Double D Diner to meet with Stella like always. I will miss her so much next year but especially this summer since I will be in Russia without her! She's like a second mother to me. We are going to have a sleepover and watch Balto and Anastasia in honor of Russia and Alaska. It will be such a great time being with two of my most favorite people.
I can't wait until the beach, I keep thinking about it! I can't wait to have my birthday at the beach also!
Kayla Joy's birthday party will be 1 1/2 weeks! I can not wait. So on that day I have the ladies tea and then Kayla's birthday party and then Sleepover at Stella's and the next day getting the dresses with Elly. Fun times!
Can I just say that I'm so happy that Hillary is winning all these primarys. Because, I think McCain has a chance of beating her and I will take McCain over Barack and Hillary.
That's all, my first blogpost!
